The Emotional Footprint Program

An Emotional Footprint is a sophisticated subconscious program created to bring attention to harmful beliefs that control and dictate the course of one's experience. These subconscious programs are present in most situations and are running in the background at all times. They attract experiences that will inevitably trigger a person in various ways based on their beliefs.

The Significance

Throughout the entire history of humanity as we know it, we've seen extensive (and growing) evidence that our mental health is an internal system that ebbs and flows with it's need for our attention. Our bodies have systems in place to guarantee continuity of life, our lungs breath in the air, our hearts push the oxygen through our bodies, and our brain consumes the oxygen and other nutrients to generate thoughts and process information.

The Emotional Footprint Program is one of these essential systems, it's been with us since birth, and it has been heavily misunderstood by most people. It's a system that functions in a way that feels like uncontrolled outbursts of Rogue Emotions (negative emotions), however, we've discovered that this system functions at a much deeper level, and these Rogue Emotions are signals that our minds push forward to bring attention to our own internal beliefs.

Inner Battle

An Emotional Footprint Program brings attention to false beliefs. If a belief is limiting and part of a paradigm, the system will trigger an unprocessed raw emotion, or what we call 'Rogue Emotions', that was generated from a past experience related to that false belief.

We see the Emotional Footprint Program do it's work naturally over years, as individuals take time to process their beliefs and take in more information that allow them to further develop themselves. However, the process is slow, can be painful and can require outside attention (such as psychiatrists). The Rogue emotion is a signpost to let a person know that they are believing something that ultimately needs to be let go of. Letting go of this belief will breed awareness, allowing their conscious perspectives to morph into new perspectives that are supportive to a natural happy life.

These subconscious programs contribute to a host of issues that directly affect mental health and emotional well-being. Beliefs are so incredibly powerful to the conscious mind that asking it to alter a particular belief in any given moment is like asking someone to look over the edge of a cliff and then telling them to jump and that everything will be fine.

Healing Process

Beliefs are what keep people safe and secure in the current state that they are in. It's human behavior to cling to the conclusion that they will not be safe and all is in jeopardy when an old belief is challenged. The conscious mind does not change its beliefs instantaneously. It needs time, experience and also the willingness or curiosity to want to change its beliefs. Even then, at the core subconscious level, many beliefs remain unchanged and trapped in the Emotional Footprint program.

This is why many people consciously understand that they should avoid a situation, doing something or specific relationships but then go ahead and do them anyway. They go against their own desires and understanding. It feels to us like we have no control over ourselves. This is the Emotional Footprint program at work behind the scenes getting people to do and think things that they wish they could simply forget.

Alleviating this pain, removing false beliefs, navigating and understanding Rogue Emotions requires us to work along side our Emotional Footprint Programs to process our emotions properly. The impact of leveraging such a powerful internal system, leads directly to emotional well-being, stability, peace and happiness.

THE IMPACT

"The subconscious Emotional Footprint program creates, at your core, unwanted emotions and emotional states."

How Emotional Footprints Affect Your Life

The Emotional Footprint Program is the internal system within all of us that tries in its own abstract way to pull our attention directly to raw unprocessed emotions tied to a false belief. This system is incredibly powerful and can surface as a variety of behaviors and patterns within our daily lives.

The subconscious brings forth abrupt, sudden, and sometimes painful Rogue Emotions that try and direct your attention towards false beliefs. These Rogue Emotions can have some of the following effects:

Processing Information Differently

The Emotional Footprint Program may cause us to process information in a way that is often unintended and can come off as misunderstanding an event or outcome. We can sometimes overlook this outcome as simple miscommunications or it can lead to more serious consequences. Outcomes that can drive forward Rogue Emotions which lead to skewed emotional reactions, feelings, actions & behaviors, and much more.

Some examples include:
  • When a friend, colleague, or family member makes a comment that was intended to be endearing or kind, comes across to us as spiteful, passively aggressive, or intended to shame in some way. While what the individual said may have been of no consequence, our own internal belief system triggered our Emotional Footprint Program to pull forward an understanding of the situation that should have been different.
  • Outright confusion about a situation when knowing how to deal with it. Not knowing what choice to make. Believing that there is a right choice but not being able to see it or incapable of making it.
  • Believing or making up stories about a situation that is not true. Believing things about yourself or others that are inaccurate.
  • Focusing on negative thought patterns even when you know better. Finding it difficult to have positive thoughts.
  • Find safety in destructive viewpoints because it's familiar.

Justifying Negative Actions

When our subconscious operates on false beliefs, we convince ourselves that in some cases, it's alright to act in particularly negative ways. This altered thinking can bring forth unintended outcomes and Rogue Emotions such as:
  • Finding reasons or justifying why it's alright to react aggressively or forcefully in a generally peaceful situation.
  • Taking everything personally, and holding others responsible for the way you feel about an interaction, event, or even inanimate objects. Taking personal offense to decisions others have made in which you were not part of the equation.
  • Reacting to an event or interaction without taking the time to process any information, and then blaming the outcome on others for the actions you may have taken.
  • Blaming everyone but yourself in the outcome of an event or interaction.
  • Getting aggressively defensive in events, or interactions in which you are not personally being targeted by anyone or anything. Attacking what people have said because you believe they were speaking about you in some way.
  • Attacking others physically or emotionally for any reason.
  • Patterns of self punishment when something goes wrong.

Subconscious Self-Defense Strategies

The Emotional Footprint Program will constantly remind us of our false beliefs. One's that cause us to inherently begin to expect the worst from events, interactions and the people around us. When we live in a world of constant unease we put up barriers, and put into place self-defensive practices and ways to avoid the reality of a situation in order to remain within our own comfort levels established by our false beliefs.
  • Denial. Actively declare something to be untrue, simply because it goes against your current belief system.
  • Avoidance. A form of coping, of escapism that is also a maladaptive form of coping that involves changing our behaviors in order to avoid a situation, interaction or the processing of raw emotions. Distracting ourselves with something in order to forget or avoid a Rogue Emotion.
  • Distractions. An active lack of ability to remain focused to pay attention to any one thing in particular for an extended period of time.
  • Addictions. While addictions are often regarded as a disease or complex condition that manifests itself by compulsive substance use; Emotional Footprints can often cause addictive behaviors as a form of coping mechanism for dealing with strong Rogue Emotions and emotional instability.
  • Manipulation. The act of convincing someone of something in a clever or unscrupulous way in order to press on to them our own false beliefs. We are more likely to try and convince others of our beliefs as a way to avoid dealing with them ourselves.

Unwanted Emotional States

The Emotional Footprint Program will drive forward Rogue Emotions, unwanted emotions that lock us into emotional states (chronic and acute). These emotional states come and go quite often and can be caused by the smallest of inconveniences and are heavily dependent on the severity of our Emotional Footprint Programs. Some of the states in which an Emotional Footprint may induce include:
  • Anxiety and nervousness.
  • Stress.
  • Depression.
  • Aggreession.
  • Social Insecurity.
  • A sense of overwhelming or fear.
  • Sadness, guilt or shame.
  • Despair or loneliness.

Behavioral Patterns

The Emotional Footprint Program can cause us to fall into behavioral patterns, often as a coping mechanisms or they may happen unconsciously throughout our daily routines.
  • Relationships. Actively seeking out a very particular type of person while jumping between relationships. Friends need to be of a particular type, and more romantic relationships only feel proper to us if they are of a specific dynamic. In some cases, individuals find themselves constantly stuck in abusive relationships, however, believe its normal and don't want to change in fear of only finding something worse.
  • Spending Habits. An inability to save money in preference of purchasing products that are typically unnecessary. Such as fast food on a daily basis rather than cooking ourselves, or buying products to satisfy addictions.
  • Weight. Difficulty working on our own weight by remaining ignorant to the impacts of our life choices. Eating food as a coping mechanism driven by Rogue Emotions, and prioritizing a form of immobility rather than a healthy amount of exercise.
  • Self Sabotage. Purposefully preventing ourselves from progressing, taking risks and advancing in life by inadvertently self-sabotaging ourselves. Prioritizing binge watching a TV show rather than working on a hobby, or focusing on self-indulgent activities rather than working on the goals and dreams that bring us genuine happiness and relative success.

Raising Your Consciousness

The beliefs we hold limit us to our current level of consciousness through the paradigms that we live in. To raise our consciousness, we need to start with addressing our beliefs, the truths that we hold dear to us.

Raising our consciousness requires us to be willing to change our beliefs when real evidence suggests that it is time to do so. Narrow viewpoints keep us limited. However, changing our beliefs at our core can be easier said then done. Emotional Footprints keep us stuck in our limiting beliefs, preventing us from breaking out of paradigms and raising our consciousness.

The only way to raise our consciousness, is to break out of an existing paradigm. And, the only way to break out of existing paradigms is to remove our Emotional Footprints. Every time we change our beliefs through the removal of an Emotional Footprint program, we raise our consciousness. Even if it's just a little. It's that simple.

Emotional Footprints keep us stuck at the level of consciousness that we are currently in. To raise our consciousness we must remove our Emotional Footprint programs.

Removing Emotional Footprints using the Biko Method

Emotional Footprints can be stubborn, resilient and hard to find. Especially when we are so used to just accepting them as a way of life. We accept that we feel the way that we do for reasons such as maybe someone close to us said something inappropriate and so our emotions are justified, or maybe we did something out of character and so we end up feeling guilty. The truth is, that we unknowingly give reasons as to why we feel the way that we do and then we take on beliefs like "I'm supposed to feel this way now". Our beliefs make it difficult to allow Emotional Footprints to be removed naturally on their own.

The Biko Method is a technique that is able to locate, define and ultimately remove the stored Emotional Footprint using a curious self discovery approach. It allows us to pay attention to our inner stories and acknowledge what beliefs we have that may be stopping us from getting the relief that we are looking for. It is also efficient at locating Emotional Footprints and can be done in a short period of time depending on the issue.

There are countless benefits that relate to using the Biko Method to remove Emotional Footprints, such as getting clarity on issues, regaining confidence in yourself, letting go of anxiety, stress, depression, anger, worry, resentment and many more. Basically, if you are experiencing an unwanted emotion, pattern, addiction or feeling, chances are that the way that you are feeling is backed by an Emotional Footprint. The Biko Method is a quick and effortless way to feel better while you grow and evolve along the way!
